All Refresh Computers refurbished computers come with a new solid-state drive. So what do we do with the mechanical drives that came with them?
We perform a DOD wipe to ensure there is no data on the drive.
We test them for speed and health.
If the speed and health tests pass, we package them for sale in our store as refurbished hard drives.
For example, you can get a 1TB hard drive for only $20 or a 250GB hard drive for only $10.
The solid-state drive that comes with the computer you buy is great for Windows start-up – which is at least 5 times faster than a mechanical drive. But you can use the mechanical drive when you are storing files such as pictures, documents, video’s, etc .
The best part of it is that, only at Refresh Computers, we will set this up for you if you buy the computer from us. We never charge to transfer files from your old machine to the machine you buy from us – and we don’t charge any extra (other than the price of the hard drive) to add that 2nd drive to your computer and set it up so you don’t have to think about where your files are being saved.
