When a drive is physically damaged

If a drive is clicking, grinding, not detected at all, or has been dropped or burned, it may need recovery in a specialist clean-room lab. We’ll tell you after the free evaluation and explain your options before you spend anything. Until then, stop using the drive: running a failing drive can make recovery harder.

Our 90-day Repair Warranty

Every repair we perform is backed by a 90-day warranty on the parts we install and the labor we perform, starting the day you pick up your computer. If the same problem comes back within 90 days, bring it in and we’ll fix it at no charge.

Covered: any part we installed or replaced, and the specific problem we were hired to fix.

Not covered: a different, unrelated problem that appears later; accidental, liquid or physical damage after pickup; and software problems such as viruses, unless the repair itself was a software repair.

Your Data, Protected

Before any repair that could put your files at risk, we back up your data at no charge to our secure in-house server. For simple part replacements that don’t touch your stored data, such as a keyboard, screen or battery, no backup is needed.

Your files are handled only by the technician working on your repair, and only to diagnose and fix the problem. We don’t view, share or keep your files for any other purpose. See our privacy policy.
